Thank you again to the (almost) 200 of you that completed our survey a few weeks ago as it’s helped us put together a timetable for when LFF’s doors physically re-open again. This timetable is here – https://londonfightfactory.com/timetable-old-street/ – so please have a look.
It will probably change after the first few weeks of being open again, once we have seen how popular particular lessons are and as the situation around Covid-19 changes.
As you’ll see, we have both Zoom classes and classes at LFF itself. At LFF, we will also have open sessions (mornings and afternoons, Mondays through to Fridays) so everyone can use the matted spaces to train outside of regular lesson times.
Recent reports suggest we may be able to open sometime next month but, as of today, the government has not yet set a date. When this does happen, we will update you all here as to when our first day back at Ebenezer Street will be.
We want to let you know a few things now though.
Once LFF itself has re-opened, you will need to book a space in advance for EVERYTHING. This includes (if you have our unlimited membership) the weights area. This will help us – and your fellow members – to stick to social distancing guidelines.
You will also need to check in for Zoom classes so we can assess how well the timetable is working for everyone.
Most of you have already used the software – Club Manager – that you will need to use to reserve your spaces. We will share the link you will need to use in due course.
If you do not currently have a monthly membership with us – and pay via direct debit – please email us so we can set you up with a record. If you do not have a record, you will not be able to sign in to classes, so you will not be able to train. If you have any queries re: your membership please do not leave these to the last minute as we may not be able to action requests straight away.
Please do not leave any kit (including boxing/mma gloves, flip flops etc) at the gym until further notice – do take everything home, clean and dry it. If you have kit already here please email us – [email protected] – so we can arrange for you to collect it.
If you usually use our boxing and/or mma gloves, now is the time to get your own. If you use the weights area please consider buying some weights gloves – it’ll save you time cleaning.
What about the Virus?
You will have your temperature taken at the front door and we will also all need to wear cotton face masks for the foreseeable future. As mentioned above, we will – of course – also need to follow social distancing guidelines whilst inside the gym. In order to ensure you are comfortable in your mask, please buy or make your own. No mask. No train.
As before, on arrival you will need to wash your hands straight away.
We will also be sharing a pledge with you that we will need you to read and sign, if you attend lessons at LFF itself. This includes agreeing that you will only join LFF lessons if you have no symptoms of Covid-19, that you will abide by social distancing guidelines, and you will notify us immediately should you develop any symptoms of the virus.
These will be available for you to use but you will not to be able to use the showers for the first few weeks whilst we assess the new ways of working .
We will not be booking any trial sessions for the first few weeks while we all get used to being back and to enable current members to join as many classes as their membership allows.
That’s it from us, for now, but any questions please email us at [email protected]
