From Practitioner to Coach

I began my journey in combat sports at the age of 6 with Kyokushin Karate and have dedicated over 30 years to practicing various disciplines. My progression led me to Boxing, Kickboxing, and Muay Thai, where I not only competed but also excelled, earning titles and accolades particularly under Muay Thai rules.

National-Level Competitor and Seasoned Coach

Beyond martial arts, I have competed in Powerlifting at a national level, which complements my extensive experience as a Strength & Conditioning coach. This diverse background in both combat sports and physical conditioning informs my holistic approach to training and coaching.

Passion for Teaching and Coaching

Teaching has become a profound passion of mine, enriched by years of learning from esteemed coaches and competing internationally. I offer coaching to a wide range of individuals, from complete beginners to professional fighters competing for titles. My sessions, both classes and 1:1 training, are meticulously tailored to meet the specific needs and goals of each student.

Training Philosophy: Fundamentals First

I’m really happy to have built up a sense of community at LFF and between the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu students in particular. Most of us aren’t related to each other but we’re a bit like a big dysfunctional family who’ll help each other out when and if we can.

MY STYLE

My training style is defined by a no-nonsense approach, emphasizing sound fundamentals, proper body mechanics, and the development of effective movement patterns. I focus on building strength and power, underpinned by a rigorous work ethic, ensuring that my students not only learn the techniques but also understand the importance of discipline and hard work in achieving excellence.
